Unfortunately it's a very sad event that brings me back to blogging today. A friend of ours, they had 11 kids, lost one of their children this week. After a week's battle to try and save him, he was finally taken from this earth. A week ago, Seth attempted to take his own life, last night he succeeded... At 19 years old, the whole world was ahead of him, but for some, the light at the end of the tunnel is not always visible. And his family and friends will never understand the why's of it all.
We lost a great friend almost 16 years ago after he, too, took his own life. I still to this day think of where he might be, what he might be doing, and how he could of affected those in his life by living and not dying.
It's a tragedy, it's heartbreaking, and it's unnecessary. It's a PERMANENT solution to a TEMPORARY problem. It brings pain, confusion, anger and sadness to those left behind to forever wonder what they did wrong, or what they could've done different.
I pray for this family, for his friends, for his soul... He will be missed more than he could've ever known, in those last few hours of confusion here on earth.
